Overview
Students are given the opportunity to learn about Canadian mysteries through the vehicle of mysteries and unexplained phenomena. Pairs and group work encourage interaction when researching and solving a Canadian mystery.Final Task: Students read real mysteries associated with towns across Canada then participate in a dramatic production.Age appropriate, full-colour and motivating themes, containing opportunities for speaking, listening, reading, and writing, presented in a variety of formats. Also included are models of final tasks, video clips, learning strategy boxes, and examination of grammar in Quete-language boxes. A minireference hand-book "Mini-guide", located at the back of the student book, includes literacy strategies, additional information related to the theme, and a summary of all language structures presented in the unit.
